Karpaha Sands
Family,
Friends
Set on a crowd-free sweep of Kalkudah Beach, Karpaha Sands feels wonderfully remote. Reached by a quiet track lined with palms and nothing but the sound of the waves.
It’s a fantastic choice in the summer months, when the seas are at their calmest and the beach at its most inviting. The setting is a working coconut plantation, and the accommodation has a luxurious tent-style character that merges into the surroundings well.
Days here are unhurried, settle into the sunloungers on the beach, dive into the large saltwater pool, or read on your private deck, with the ocean steps away and local fishermen hauling in their nets each morning.
It’s ideal for couples or families looking to unwind, with space to roam, a gentle rhythm to the days, and just the right amount of low-key indulgence. It’s not about nightlife or ticking off sights but about quiet moments, nature, and thoughtful comfort.
The Rooms
There are 17 tents divided into three categories. All are very spacious and decorated in natural materials. You’ll have a plush king-size bed, living area, indoor bathroom with a freestanding tub and an outdoor shower, air-conditioning and a private deck with sun loungers.
Palam suites have direct sea views in the shade of the coconut palms, while the Kolaya suites are set among the gardens and offer more privacy.
Great for families or groups, the Seed rooms have two bedrooms.
