Honeymooners
The beautiful and boutique Fort Bazaar sits right in the heart of atmospheric Galle Fort (a UNESCO world heritage site) and allows you to immerse yourself in the heritage of the 17th-century fortress easily.
As an old merchant’s home, it is full of history and a reminder of a bygone era of colonial wealth, with a Middle Eastern vibe.
Fort Bazaar appeals to travellers seeking a blend of heritage charm and modern luxury. Ideal for couples and families, its central location within Galle Fort provides easy access to cultural landmarks, boutique shops, and coastal excursions.
After a day exploring, the hotel offers facilities such as a spa, swimming pool, cinema and gourmet restaurant to retreat to. Contemporary and vibrant, Middle Eastern food, as well as modern versions of Sri Lanka’s traditional cuisine, are served at the Church Street Social restaurant.
The Rooms
There are just 18 rooms and suites here and some connect to form family suites. Fit with four poster-beds, they are light, airy and modern. The three upper suites have an additional lounge area, dressing room, bathtub and great views over the fort.
