Meals are served in the Dining Pavilion, overlooking the tea estate, or by the pool. The cooking is exceptional at Kahanda Kanda, with Sri Lankan and Thai specialties and innovative fusion dishes. You can have delicious three-course dinners and two-course lunches whenever you like. The cooks use locally sourced, fresh ingredients, with vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown on-site.
The Rooms
Choose the master-suite, known as the Peacock Suite, for the ultimate in luxury with exquisite lake views, an elegant private courtyard, and a four-poster bed crafted with ebony. Guests can enjoy two outdoor showers in the Hellaconia Suite’s private courtyard, as well as two generous double beds. The grand old Javanese Joglo house is known as Dubu, featuring masterfully carved ceilings and walls made of robust timber. Two bathrooms and a private pool make the Dubu Suite a particularly indulgent choice. Set amongst the tea plantations is Auraylia, known for its spacious veranda, perfect for spotting the exotic birdlife that inhabits the surroundings.
