Nestled in the hills around 2.5 hours from Colombo, this boutique hotel offers a tranquil stay surrounded by the lush nature of the forest.
The small hotel is a converted family home nestled in 5 acres of private grounds consisting of beautiful woodland with a wide variety of flora and fauna. The house has been designed to blend in with its surroundings using sustainable architecture and materials, immersing guests in the abundant plants and wildlife while ensuring a comfortable and peaceful stay.
The hotel is a terrific base for activities like rainforest trekking and tours of nearby waterfalls, tea plantations, and villages. If you prefer to explore at your own pace, there are paved walkways through the surrounding forest and a small stream with natural pools running alongside the hotel. Sri Lanka is known for its wide variety of bird species, and the remote jungle setting of Moksha is an ideal setting to see how many you can spot.
The Rooms
The hotel has only eight rooms, all with a contemporary design and views of the surrounding jungle from small balconies. The combination of modern rooms and facilities and the natural beauty of the untouched forest create a calm oasis, ideal for anyone looking for a respite from hectic city life.
