Roo Mansala
Couples,
Families
Tucked in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, this boutique hotel offers a peaceful and intimate stay with wonderful views of Sigiriya and Pidurangala.
The design nods to traditional architecture, but you’ll have all the modern comforts, too.
It’s a great base for exploring, with a relaxed atmopshere, an inviting pool and genuinely warm hospitality.
The location of Roo Mansala couldn’t be much better for exploring the many historical sites of the Cultural Triangle.
Location-wise, it’s spot on. Sigiriya and Pidurangala are just a kilometre away, Dambulla is within a half an hour drive, and the ancient cities of Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura are an easy hour drive.
In between cultural outings, cool off in the pool or take in the view from the rooftop viewing platform – jungle below, rock fortress ahead, and the occasional monkey swinging by.
The Rooms
When it first opened in 2018, the hotel comprised three villas, each with an upstairs and downstairs room. Since then, two new rooms have been added, featuring private balconies with plunge pools.
Although all the rooms are spacious and well decorated with colourful themes and a distinctly Sri Lankan vibe, we’d strongly recommend the upper-level options, as the views of Sigiriya and Pidurangala are best enjoyed from the balconies.
