Bike Riding at The Mudhouse
Given its size and rural location, cycling is a great way to explore both the Mudhouse grounds and the surrounding area. All guests are provided with good quality bikes during their stay, and they’re a fun and convenient way to get between the rooms and different areas of the property.
If you’re interested in exploring the small villages and quiet countryside surrounding the Mudhouse, the tracks, lanes, and roads nearby are mostly flat and easygoing. More remote and rugged trails are nearby, too, and the staff will be happy to accompany you and tailor the route to your preferred distance and difficulty level.
We’d particularly recommend a ride to Kuntaniyagala Rock, which takes around one hour total, including a short hike up the rock for incredible 360-degree views of the surrounding jungle and countryside.
