This lovely four-room villa on the east coast of Sri Lanka feels like a cosy home away from home. It’s tucked between two gorgeous bays, surrounded by swaying coconut trees, so the setting’s hard to beat. You’ll love the great service, the phenomenal private pool, and the spacious rooms.

The villa’s got just four rooms, keeping things nice and small. Downstairs, the rooms open onto garden terraces, while the two upstairs deluxe rooms have balconies with cracking ocean views. Inside, they’re bright and breezy with king-size four-poster beds and rain showers.

You can enjoy your meals by the pool, or go for something special like a candlelit dinner or a fun BBQ on the beach. The food is a tasty mix of Sri Lankan and Western dishes.

It’s easy to while away the hours just soaking up the ocean views, but if you fancy a change of scene, head over to Arugam Bay: famous for its surf, and good for beginners. If you’re in the mood to explore, take a tuk-tuk safari, try a cooking class at Urani village, go fishing, or visit the nearby monastery and national parks.
