The Fort today is a UNESCO World Heritage site and inside you can visit the palatial imperial city with its fairytale mosques and palaces. Afterwards visit the iconic Taj Mahal, built in white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved queen. The building is a universal symbol of love and a superb example of Muslim art in India. Its intricate paintings, motifs, calligraphy, floor tiling and marble work are exceptionally beautiful. The area around the Taj Mahal is a protected and vehicle parking is approximately 1km away from the monument. You will board battery operated vehicles to get to the main gate.

However, durig your stay in Agra, we’ll arrange it so that you also see a couple of places missed off the normal trail which will hopefully show you another side to the undoubtedly magnificent Mughal achievements at Agra.
