Made of top quality canvas, these tents are far from your usual camping experience! Each ‘lodge’ is home to a comfortable double bed, en suite bathroom, and dark wooden furniture, opening out at one end onto an outside terrace with panoramic views over the surrounding tea plantations and countryside. With dark wood floors, light, bright colours, and plenty of space, rooms remain elegant and comfortable, topped off with magnificent views.

Madulkelle has a main building where guests may enjoy the delicious food in the Grand Dining Room, play billiards in the Lounge Bar, or relax in the Library. Decorated in traditional English furnishings, this building has a homely and friendly ambience, and the open log fire is a centrepiece during the cooler evenings.

The Lodge has its infinity swimming pool, looking out over the neighbouring traditional Sri Lankan village and tea plantation, offering a great place to relax and take in the scenery. Massages are available both in-tent or outside under the shade of a tree, of for the more adventurous guests hiking, wildlife trips and adventure sports are also offered.

Just thirty kilometres from the culture capital of Kandy, it is in a great location to explore the northern hill country.
