Lynsey’s travelled all over Sri Lanka, and she’s properly fallen for it. She knows the island’s wild bits, the wow-factor hotels, and those small, brilliant places you’d never stumble across on your own. Whether you’re planning a family adventure or a romantic escape, she’ll create a holiday that feel effortless and exciting.
December to April is Sri Lanka’s classic dry season across the south and west – perfect for combining cultural discovery with stylish coastal stays. Expect blue skies, warm seas, and excellent wildlife sightings, including whales off the southern coast.
May to September brings ideal weather to the east coast, where lesser-known beaches like Pasikudah and Arugam Bay shine. Inland, the hill country stays pleasantly cool, with occasional rain keeping everything lush and green.
October and November are more unpredictable, with bursts of tropical rain across much of the island. That said, it’s a beautiful time to experience Sri Lanka’s vibrant landscapes without the crowds.
We know Sri Lanka’s luxury hotel scene as well as we know the island itself. From the iconic Amangalla to Condé Nast Traveller favourites like Wild Coast Tented Lodge, the best-known spots deliver on comfort and style.
But that’s just the beginning. At ETG, we’re constantly exploring and refining our hand-picked collection to uncover those rare finds: places with soul, character, and a genuine sense of place.
You might stay in a tucked-away hill retreat like Tekanda Lodge or a spacious private villa like Why House. Every hotel in our collection feels special. Never standard, never soulless.
