Night at the Ballet - Phra-Lak-Phra Lam, Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang Laos, Luang Prabang and The North
The 'Phra-Lak-Phra Lam' is the national epic of the Lao people. It tells a Jataka story - of a previous lifetime of the Buddha. This mesmerising ballet is the Lao version of the Sacred Poem, and is performed every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening in the garden of the National Museum, formerly the Royal Palace.
Everything was fantastic. All the guides were really knowledgeable and helpful, passionate about their countries - they exceeded any expectations we had. We learnt loads about different cultures, religious beliefs and social constructions.
