A Journey Through Laos
Exploring sleepy Laos from north to South at an easy relaxing pace on meandering river journeys and trains through mountain passes.
Located 1.5 miles from the UNESCO world heritage town of Luang Prabang, Le Sen’s 19 rooms provided a simple yet stylish base from which to explore the many sights and attractions of the area.
The hotel’s communal areas and courtyard, with a decent-sized pool, are designed with tradition in mind, but the rooms are much more contemporary, with modern wooden furniture, stone or wood floors and well-equipped bathrooms. With bathtubs and separate showers and significantly more space, the executive rooms are recommended, but the deluxe rooms are still perfectly comfortable for those on more of a budget. The villa is perfect for families.
The courtyard is relatively small, with the majority of rooms looking in, but the pool is a great place to unwind after a day’s sightseeing, and a small gym is available if you need to blow off some cobwebs. You can walk into the town in about 20 minutes. Alternatively, there is a regular and complimentary, shuttle service, while the hotel will also provide bicycles for those looking to explore with a bit more freedom.
This is a well-designed and comfortable hotel that offers a great value base from which to explore one of Asia’s finest towns!
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
