The restaurant serves up a mix of Sri Lankan and western food and an informal bar serves reasonably priced cocktails. The swimming pool is is a great new addition.
The hotel is well located for exploring the National Parks of Yala, Bundala and Uda Walalwe. The sacred city of Kataragama, with it's world-famous festivals and rituals, is just fifteen minutes drive away.
This is a great mid-range option, ideal for exploring the deep south-east or for breaking a long journey from the hills to the south coast.

Comfort - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin - provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels.
It was a fantastic holiday. Sri Lanka, Experience travel and the wonderful Harriet have all been praised to the skies many times over! We had a massive party when we got back and about 150 people wanted to know how we found the place!! The answer was that I had spoken to nearly a dozen agents before finally speaking to someone who asked ME lots of questions, ie properly interested in what we would like rather than trying to quickly field a product. Knowledgable, patient, helpful and 'real'!
