Family Adventure in Rajasthan
An unforgettable Rajasthan adventure for the whole family. Discover epic ancient palaces, formidable forts and the timeless beauty of rural India.
Tucked away in the foothills of the Aravali Range, just 22 miles outside of Jaipur city centre, lies Dera Amer , an usual experiment in wildlife conservation spearheaded by one Indian family.
The Singh family who have converted their 160 acre land into a wilderness camp and opened up the area for conservation purposes and so guests could interact with their rescued elephants. The land is exclusively used for the animals and for food cultivation for them, whilst guests can enjoy a rich wildlife experience where animal welfare is the highest priority. Highly recommended for families, though other guests will also enjoy a visit especially if they have little other space in their itinerary for wildlife spotting.
You’ll start your elephant experience at dusk outside the camp. After being introduced to the animals and feeding them, you’ll walk with these humble giants through the jungle area surrounding Dera Amer. Led by a local tribal guide you’ll pass village huts, fields and a medieval fort before you reach the camp in the middle of the forest. Dinner will be served against the wilderness backdrop of the Aravali Hills.
You can include this experience as part of an Experience Travel Group holiday designed exclusively for you.
