Leela Kovalam ,
Info : Leela Kovalam
There are plenty of hotels along the Kovalam coastline, but what makes the Leela really stand out is its fabulous location on the cliff tops overlooking the shores. There is an abundance of green palm-fringed space and no shortage of luxury facilities. Enjoy great dining and bar options and a world-class spa.
Kovalam is well known for its lovely shallow waters, an abundance of water sports, and a large selection of restaurants serving freshly caught seafood. Its close proximity to Trivandrum International Airport makes Kovalam a great first or last destination on a tour of Kerala. There are ancient temples, museums, and art galleries nearby. Kerala’s Poovar backwaters are just a half hour away, easily explored by boat. On-site at the Leela, there is no shortage of activities and facilities to capture your attention, including a spa, pool, Jacuzzi, tennis and badminton courts, fitness facilities, and meditation centre.
There are 183 rooms and suites here, and all of them are equipped with the standard luxury amenities you’d expect from a Leela hotel. The rooms have a spacious and elegant feel about them, and they feature private balconies or sun decks and great views. Since you’re on the cliff top, you may as well enjoy a room with a view of the Arabian Sea if available.
This is a modern hotel with an elegant, grown-up feel to it. Come here for international standard luxury and enjoy a sundowner overlooking the water.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
The one-on-one guide arranged with Experience Travel Group enabled me to get so much more from my trip to India. As well as the almost compulsory visits to the Taj Mahal and Red Fort, I was shown a variety of busy towns and mall villages, traditional crafts and skills, religious buildings and practices, architecture and wildlife, finishing with a very relaxing stay in Tikli Bottom.
