Info : Paukan (Short) Cruises
Paukan Cruise's offer regular 2 and 3 day cruises and monthly 5 day cruises along the Irrawaddy River between Bagan and Mandalay. They operate a fleet of different boats along this route. RV Paukan 1947 - a colonial steamer with 29 cabins, RV Paukan 2012 - a teak vessel with 18 cabins and RV Paukan 2007 which is pictured above. The standard of cabins on all boats is high and they are all tastefully designed with traditional/colonial décor. Facilities on board include sun deck's, massage area's and dining room's serving both local and international dishes.
The cruise route takes in cultural sites like Mingun and Sagaing and the 5 day cruise veers into the Chindwin River to visit Monywa. Whichever route you take, you'll experience the tranquility of river life and the Burmese countryside in a short space of time on a quality boat.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
