The 11-night cruise on Sanctuary Ananda along the Upper Irrawaddy (Ayeyarwady) river between Mandalay and Bagan takes you through the three gorges, stopping in at some charming rural destinations and fascinating ancient sites along the way, including New Nyein, Kyar Nyet, and Sagaing. As you float on by, you’ll pass the “parrot head”, the “spirit rock” and of course, the famous U-Bein bridge. Alternatively, take 11 nights to cruise from Yangon to Mandalay on the lower Irrawaddy, visiting historical Danuphyu, charismatic Pyay, mystical Thayet and wondrous Bagan along the way.
