Bago By Bike (or on foot),
Myanmar, Yangon and Around
Info : Bago By Bike (or on foot)
Bago’s is an ancient town not far from Yangon, it is a fascinating town to explore by bicycle or by foot. You can visit on a guided day trip from Yangon or stay here for a day or two.
The most popular landmark is the glittering Shwemawdaw Pagoda with its diamond-encrusted stupa. Admire one of Myanmar’s most beautiful reclining Buddhas, the Shwethalyaung Buddha, its history dating back to 994AD. The majestic Kyaikpun Pagoda is fascinating too, four Buddha figures towering 30-metres high sit back-to-back, each with their own individual facial expression.

The Undiscovered North
Unique off-the-beaten-track adventure. A taste of local life in the foothills of the Himalayas, at the source of the Irrawaddy River and beyond.
[Our cruise] was excellent in every way and we had a memorable holiday. Terry our guide made the trip for us. I couldn't recommend [it] more highly, perfect in every way. Loved the informality of it all and the evening cocktails were delicious. Trips ashore clambering up the banks of the Irrawaddy into little villages were quite delightful and locals fascinated by us. Excellent mixed itinerary organised by our guide which took in all aspects of life.
