Although Myanmar is not yet a "beach destination", it does have some fantastic beach experiences to offer which can easily be added to any itinerary.
Myanmar's finest beach is Ngapali, on the country's west coast in Rakhine State. The sand is white and powdery and the stretch of beach is beautiful, lined with coconut palms and the water is generally calm and good for swimming. There are plenty of quality seafood restaurants and cocktail bars set back from the beach although Ngapali is still quiet and relatively undeveloped, allowing for true relaxation after your Mynamar tour.
