Wine Tasting

Located on a hillside above Lake Inle, with dramatic views over the surrounding countryside, the Red Mountain Estate produces possibly the best wines in South East Asia. The wines are made from locally grown grapes produced from 400,000 carefully chosen plants that were imported from France and Spain.

Your wine tasting session is little more than an opportunity to enjoy the selection of reds, whites and roses on offer but the setting is truly fantastic. It is a great place to spend a relaxing couple of hours watching the sun set over the lake and the hills beyond. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel after lunch and take you to and from the vineyard. For the more active, it is a very pleasant five mile cycle to the vineyard, with the last section up a relatively steep hill and the return downhill - we can arrange bikes and a guide for you if you would prefer to travel this way.
