DAY 1 DEPART THE UK

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Colombo.

DAY 2 & 3 RURAL GAMPAHA PLANTATIONS & PEACEFULNESS

Your guide and driver will meet you on arrival and transport you to the nearby Wallawwa Hotel. This fine hotel in a rural location surrounded by coconut and pineapple plantations is the ideal place to acclimatise and relax into the Sri Lankan pace of life.

DAYS 4 - 6 NUWARA ELIYA HILL COUNTRY

Your first seaplane journey takes you from Colombo airport to Castlereigh Reservoir, a flight taking about an hour. Your destination is Ceylon Tea Trails, a luxury planters bungalow dotted around the Castlereagh Lake. You'll have three nights here, plenty of time to immerse yourself in local activities such as tea factory visits, walking or cycling, and simply sitting back and enjoying the beautiful vistas.

DAY 7 - 10 GALLE BEACHES & RELAXATION

Today you'll be driven to the water’s edge of Castlereagh for your onward seaplane flight to Koggala Lake on the south coast. The journey takes just 30 minutes, and there is time to marvel over the aerial views of tea clad hills, waterfalls and lakes, the Sinharaja Rainforest, and then the coastal plains. On arrival, you'll take a short transfer to Cape Weligama resort where you'll stay in a beautiful villa, enjoying luxury facilities and an idyllic beach location. Your stay here is for four nights, and there is plenty of time for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling or kayaking.

DAYS 11-13 YALA NATIONAL PARK SAFARI ADVENTURES

You’ll travel by road today into Yala National Park, a journey of about 3 hours, with the opportunity to stop along the way, perhaps in the coastal town of Tangalle. Your destination is Chena Huts, though much grander than a hut, your accommodation will be in a luxurious safari pavilion with its private pool. The resort is located right on the edge of the national park but also has the beach in view, putting it in a brilliant position for a whole range of nature-based activities. We include two game drives a day and your own naturalist guide. You're likely to spot elephants, leopards, birdlife, and more in the park - elephants have even been seen on the beach here!

DAY 14 & 15 COLOMBO THE BUSTLING CAPITAL

Journey by road and seaplane to your final destination, the bustling capital of Colombo, where you will stay for two nights. Spend a full day exploring the city’s highlights on our signature tour, where a local guide will open up the heart of Colombo to you as you see a side of the city many tourists miss.
