Amagi Lagoon Resort,
Sri Lanka, Colombo, Negombo & Around
Info : Amagi Lagoon Resort
Amagi is a modern boutique hotel set against Negomobo's stunning Lagoon. Just a short drive from Colombo's International Airport, it is both convenient and comfortable, providing a great place to relax before your onward journey. It is good for both couples and families wanting a good value option with beautiful views over Sri Lanka's West Coast.
Amagi Lagoon is set close to the lagoon and has a stunning jetty perfect for a sundowner. The hotel's swimming pool overlooks the ocean beyond which makes for a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are spacious and decorated to contemporary Sri Lankan taste, complete with modern conveniences.
The hotel's location is a little remote, so this place suits those looking for a retreat from the bustle of the city but still close to civilisation. It's important to note that for those with mobility restrictions - a ground floor room would be most suitable.
Our top tip would be to request a room with a view over the Lagoon, waking up in the morning to the sunrise over the water seen from your balcony is a fantastic way to start the day.
Comfort - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin - provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels.
