Day 2 – Siem Reap

Your guide will meet you at the airport when you land in Siem Reap. Transfer to your hotel where the rest of the day can be spent at leisure relaxing and recovering from the flight.

Day 3 – Siem Reap

Cycle leisurely through the Temples of Angkor this morning, discovering some off-the-beaten-path structures that have been left to the jungle over the years. This includes a visit to Ta Prohm, Ta Nei and Bayon, the impressive temple with rows of giant stone faces. Head back to your hotel for a short rest and lunch by the pool followed by  an afternoon quad bike ride through the stunning Cambodian countryside immediately surrounding Siem Reap.

Day 4 – Siem Reap

This morning you will have a unique and exciting experience of zip-lining through the Angkor forest with Flight of the Gibbons. Prepare to soar on zip lines, traverse suspended sky bridges, abseil from towering trees and fly like never before! In the afternoon visit Banteay Srey, a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva that is famous for the stunning pink hue of its red sandstones. Drive through the beautiful Cambodian countryside to see palm sugar being made before finishing up for the day with sun set at the mountain temple of Pre Rup.

Day 5 – Siem Reap

This morning you will have the option to visit the magnificent Angkor Wat for sunrise. The earlier you rise the better - the complex can get quite busy at sunrise so to arrive when the moon and the stars are still out is ideal, where you will essentially have the temples to yourselves in the most magical of settings.

In the afternoon take a boat trip around Mey Chrey, a floating village on the Tonle Sap lake that is almost untouched by tourism to this day. As you head back to shore, your own ox and cart will be waiting for you to take you on a ride through local villages and farm land.

Day 6 – Phnom Penh

Take a short domestic flight to Phnom Penh, where you will check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7 – Phnom Penh

Enjoy a full day exploring the highlights of the historical Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. Visit the glittering Royal Palace, the National Museum and have lunch at a local NGO. In the afternoon peruse the colourful central market  for a spot of souvenir shopping, followed by a cyclo tour around downtown Phnom Penh. You will whizz past Noradom Boulevard, the bustling train station, the old Post Office and Wat Phnom and more.  All you need to do is sit back, relax and watch a typical Phnom Penh afternoon unfold in front of you.

Day 8 – Cardamom Mountains

You will be collected from your hotel and transferred into the Cardamom Mountains. You will then board a small boat and head to the 4 Rivers Floating Resort, where you will be based for the next 3 nights.

Customer Feedback
Our guide, Mr Rous Ry was so well informed and so passionate about Cambodia that he transformed the holiday. I now can't even imagine trying to understand Angkor Wat without his explanations of the history of Hinduism, Buddhism and the Khmer empire. He also took on board that I am interested in old industrial processes and this helped with visits to an old fish paste factory, a blacksmith, a pottery, a brickworks and various railway sites. This was all done with a charming sense of humour and enthusiasm.
