Day-to-Day Itinerary : Bali Explorer

Day 1 – Depart the UK

Depart the UK.

Day 2 – Ubud

You will be met by your guide when you arrive for your transfer to Ubud where you will check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at leisure.

Day 3 – Ubud

Take lunch in a local restaurant before being kitted out with mountain bikes and all the required safety equipment for an easy downhill cycle from Mount Batur through lush tropical paddy fields, coffee plantations and villages.

Day 4 – Ubud

Pura Bukit Tegeh is a temple shrine dedicated to the King of Sideman who frequently visited the area for its fantastic views and fresh air in the 19th century.  On a morning trek here you’ll walk (with your guide) through spinach, bean and chilli plantations whilst stopping to take in panoramic views and greet villagers on their daily pilgrimage to the temple.  It takes an hour and a half to walk to the village located on the rim followed by a 200 steps to reach the temple. At the top of the hill you’ll enjoy  snacks, fruits, coffee and tea before beginning the route back down the other side of the hill which has views of majestic Mount Agung, and, on a clear day, the coast around Candi Dasa.

Day 5 – Munduk

Drive to the remote northern town of Munduk set amidst coffee plantations and rice paddy terraces. The rest of today is at leisure.

Day 6 – Munduk

This morning take a three hour trek through the stunning mountain scenery around Munduk and admidst coffee and cocoa plantations. Climb up and down forested valleys and cool down in a beautiful waterfall. In the afternoon you will be taken on a local canoe across the crater lake Tamblingan before being transferred back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 7 – Menjangan

Transfer for 3 hours by road to Menjangan Resort, stopping en route to visit a pearl farm and take a dip in natural hot springs.

Day 8 – Menjangan

Take a snorkelling trip to Menjangan Island, which is off the coast near Pemuteran and is a part of West Bali National Park Reserve. This island provides one of the best snorkelling and diving spots in the whole of Bali.                                                                                                                                

Day 9 – Menjangan

Spend a whole day at your leisure at the peaceful resort of Menjangan. There are a fantastic variety of excursions on offer that you can book and pay for locally. This includes kayaking through the maze of mangroves around the hotel, snorkelling and diving, bird watching, trekking, cycling and horse riding.

Day 10 – Canggu

Drive to the beachside town of Canggu and check-in to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or on the beautiful white sandy beach.

Day 11, 12 & 13 – Canggu        

Spend three days at leisure at Canggu, where there are plenty of activities on offer for those wanting to explore the island. Alternatively, relax by the pool or on the beach.

Day 14 – Fly home

Transfer to Denpasar, Bali’s airport, for your flight home.
