Day 1 Depart the UK

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Siem Reap.

Day 2-5 Siem Reap and The Temples of Angkor

On arrival in Siem Reap meet your guide and transfer to your hotel, Phum Baitang where you’ll stay in beautifully restored Khmer-style houses amidst gardens and paddy fields. Your first afternoon is free to relax in the lush setting and enjoy the facilities such as the swimming pool or spa. Phum Baitang promises adults and children an unforgettable stay.

Undoubtedly a highlight of your stay here will be the time spent with your guide exploring the Temples of Angkor. We tailor our family tours here carefully to ensure you all experience the temples at their best and learn a little while having heaps of fun. Activities include a leisurely bike ride to jungle-clad Ta Prohm, before continuing to the intricate Angkor Thom; the flat trails here making it a great temple to explore by bike. An early start is best for Angkor Wat; if you arrive before sunrise, you’ll beat the crowds and experience a fairytale-like moonlit scene.

Other adventures here include a zip line route through the forest, a quad bike ride in the countryside or a boat trip to a remote floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake.

Day 6-9 Song Saa Private Island

After your Angkor adventure, your guide will transport you to the local airport to catch the short (50 minutes) flight direct to Sihanoukville on Cambodia’s south coast. On arrival, you’ll transfer to the pier and whizz off to Song Saa aboard a private speedboat.

Song Saa is an exclusive beach resort in the pristine Koh Rong archipelago, one of Cambodia’s most beautiful luxury destinations and the perfect place to wind down in style after Angkor. Here you will check into a two-bedroom jungle villa for four days of beach time. Spend your days snorkelling, kayaking, enjoying island safaris or listening to music on your surround sound system while splashing around in your private pool.

Day 10-12 Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

A direct flight from either nearby Sihanoukville or Phnom Penh will take you to Ho Chi Minh City. Your Vietnamese guide and driver will meet you on arrival, and you’ll head straight to your riverside resort.

During your time in the city, there will be a full day to enjoy our exclusive Saigon Family Tour. The day includes the city's main sites such as the enthralling Presidential Palace where you can explore the old wartime communications bunkers and learn a little about the Vietnam War. In the afternoon there will be ice creams and time back at the hotel to relax before an evening exploration on vintage Vespa's of the cities less-discovered corners.

During your stay, there is also a chance to visit the captivating Cu Chi Tunnels and to explore colourful Ben Thanh Night Market to experience some of Vietnam’s famous local street-food firsthand.

Day 13 The Bassac Cruise on The Mekong

Today you head out of the city and into the Mekong Delta region, where you will board the Bassac Cruise for a fantastic 2-day journey through some of the smaller canals of the Mekong, between Cai Be and Can Tho. Pass small villages, rice fields and local boats and stop at a farmer's house for fresh fruit. Accommodation is on board the converted rice barge in deluxe cabins, with all meals included.

Day 14-18 The Nam Hai Resort and Hoi An

Today you leave the Mekong Delta and fly up the Vietnamese coast to Danang. Your local guide and driver will meet you for the short journey along the coast towards Hoi An. Arrive at the Nam Hai resort, a fantastic, luxury base from which to enjoy a range of local adventures and to enjoy relaxed beach-time. Check in to your two-bedroom pool villa - you probably won't want to leave!

Between strolls around magical Hoi An itself, lazy days on the beach and the many activities (such as tennis) available at the Nam Hai, you’ll also have time for an expertly guided tour of the local countryside. This engaging tour provides a chance to experience local Vietnamese life. In the company of your guide, you’ll take a leisurely bike ride through the countryside, before taking a boat upriver to a local fishing community. Learn how to net fish and to paddle a traditional bamboo basket along the palm-fringed waterways.
