Day 1 – Depart the UK

Depart the UK.

Day 2 – Borobudur

You will be met by your guide when you arrive at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in Borobudur where you can spend the rest of the day relaxing at leisure.

Day 3 – Yogyakarta

Enjoy a full-day tour of Yogyakarta. This morning visit the Kraton; the traditional home of the sultan and the royal court. After a tour of the site, you will then visit the Taman Sari Complex, also known as Water Castle. After lunch at a local restaurant and a few hours rest at your hotel, visit the Sambisari temple and explore the back roads of Jogjakarta, ending at the Suryo Cultural Center behind Prambanan temple. Renowned as one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in the world, you will have exclusive access to visit the temple at sunset for breath-taking views.

Day 4 – Borobudur

Leave your hotel before sunrise and head to Borobudur temple, a stunning Buddhist temple on a forested plateau surrounded by dramatic volcanic peaks, including the highly active Gunung Merapi. Watch the sunrise majestically from in between the two volcanic peaks and then explore the temple in the dim morning light.

In the afternoon, your guide will return to take you to Candirejo, a traditional Javanese village in a beautiful natural setting. Take a ride in an “Andong”, a Yogyakarta horse-drawn carriage.

Day 5 – Ubud

Transfer to the airport and take a short flight to the island of Bali, where you will transfer to the cultural capital city of Ubud. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6 – Ubud

Drive to a beautiful spot overlooking Mount Batur for breakfast. You will then be kitted out with mountain bikes and all the required safety equipment, before starting the downhill cycle through lush tropical paddy fields, coffee plantations and a tour of a village temple. After a traditional lunch head back to your hotel to relax.

Day 7 – Komodo

Transfer to Denpasar, Bali’s airport, and take a short flight to the island of Komodo. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at leisure.

Day 8 – Komodo

Today is the day that you go to see some dragons! They may not have wings or breath fire but at up to 3m long a dragon is an apt description of these remarkable creatures that inhabit Komodo National Park. The island also provides a beautiful coastal setting and is famous for its clear white sands and offshore coral suitable for both snorkelling and diving. During the day, you will explore Komodo on foot and should have plenty of opportunities to see the dragons. You will have lunch and plenty of time for snorkelling on the picturesque pink beach.

Day 9 – Komodo

Today will be a relaxing day to cruise around the beautiful marine park on Komodo island. You can discuss the details of your itinerary with the crew on the day based on your interests, but mainly today is about exploring the islands and beaches or simply relaxing as the boat glides through the stunning scenery.

Day 10 – Bali beach

This afternoon you will fly back to Bali and transfer to Seminyak, a pristine beach on the south-eastern coast of Bali. Spend the rest of today at leisure.

Day 11, 12 & 13 – Bali beach

Spend three full days relaxing on the beach or exploring Bali. A great advantage of Seminyak is the plethora of superb places to eat locally, from beach shacks to high-end restaurants. There is all manner of local excursions we can include too - though you might prefer just to relax.  

Day 14 – Fly Home

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
