Immerse yourself in the beautiful and surreal world of Koh Kood’s coral reefs, while doing your part to maintain and grow these natural wonders. The first half of the day will be spent learning about coral regeneration and how the passionate divers who run the course rebuild reefs using just live rocks and fragmented corals stimulate new growth.
After your introduction to the program, you’ll be taken out by boat to a local coral garden, a lovingly tended nursery of young coral which become substrate, or ‘living rock’, and then replanted in the island’s surrounding coral reefs. Your instructors will show you how to the process works from beginning to end and your contributions help ensure the future of the local reefs of Koh Kood.
